We want to be crystal clear: MarkDownOnIt does not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data.

The extension's functionality is entirely local to your browser.

When you use the extension to select an HTML element on a webpage, that content is processed on your computer.

The converted markdown is copied directly to your clipboard. At no point is this information sent to our servers or any third party.

Our extension requests the following permissions:

activeTab: This allows the extension to run on the webpage you are currently viewing when you activate it. We do not track your Browse history.
clipboardWrite: This allows the extension to copy the converted markdown to your clipboard.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
